We engage with stakeholders to identify gaps and weaknesses that need critical thinking to close - sometimes this is an activity that can't be done easily internally, so we work hard to align the organization to truly get at the essence of what needs to get done.

As appropriate and as simple as possible we then use a framework to assemble the technology plan into a artifact set that can be communicated to board members, executive management, business line leadership, and technology team members in a phased and measured fashion. Some clients even leverage aspects of the roadmap for externally-facing matters such as customers, investors, and strategic talent recruiting exercises.
